My emotion I am trying to portray is annoyance because of the way society treats young people trying to express themselves. My most inspiring print maker is Kathe Kollowitz Because she contrasts the positive and negative quiet well and has inspiring work that is better than the other print makers i have come across. In my final work, I want to portray the annoyance I feel when my friends try to express themselves and get shut down by society. My next step is to sketch out the final picture and make a start on the print making.
i think the same about society it is real sad how the world is turning out to be everyone should do what they believe in and not follow others.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Hannah-mae, sometimes we can refer to this as 'teenage voice'. every generation since forever, has done this thing where we look back as more mature adults at the teenage generation and criticise. Its been happening since the time of greek philosophers. So if that is continuing to happen, maybe it is time for us to reflect and ease up on the younger generation.
ReplyDeleteThen, there is that thing where people try to conform to what is happening around them, in order to fit in. Sometimes that leads to not very nice social situations. That is in the end, how tyrants gain control over whole societies and countries. It can be very hard learning how and when to judge standing up against the current of conformity. some of the fights in the end won't be as worthy as you might think they are, in that moment. Some of them you will wish you said more about.
I LOVE Kathe Kollwitz. Good choice :-)
