Level 3 - What is my Kaupapa

Hello,
My name is Hannah-Mae and I am a level 3 photography student in 2020. I was not in photography last year as it clashed with the other subjects that I was taking. But this year I am choosing to work through and study Environmental Protection. I am working on this because I have very strong ties with the land and I really enjoy working and being outside.

My two brainstorms have revealed that there are many environmental issues that do not get addressed as much as they should
Environmental Protection:
Pollution
Deforestation
Relationships to Animals
Farming effects
Cultural differences for protection
Colonization

Subject matter:
Landscapes
Animals
Trees
Contrast

After creating the mood board I learnt that I enjoy natural lighting in photos. I also enjoy photos that have contrast and abstract colour combinations.

The three artists that I have chosen are Ansel Adams (Traditional), Rinko Kawauchi (Contemporary), and Laurence Aberhart (Aotearoa).

Both from the Ametsuchi collection which was published in 2013

I have chosen these three artists because they share a similar component with the land and the natural elements of it.
